Goddess

The Egyptian god Ptah is the husband of the lion goddess Sekhmet, the ferocious alter ego of Hathor, loving goddess of the sky. Separated by Shu, the god of air, they long for reunion, and exchange much poetry of love, which appears in numerous Proto-Sinaitic inscriptions. They are the parents of Kheper (Qpr), aka Nefertum, who represented the sunrise. According to Egyptian cosmology, Ptah is the god who created the world via the spoken word. Afterwards, Ptah created Khnum who formed man on a potter's wheel. Ptah is the patron deity of craftsmen, and associated with the Apis bull and oracles.
