The name Balaji Baji Rao—often known by his moniker Nana Saheb—is a blend of his father's name and family name conventions. In the Bhat family of the Maratha Empire, names were often formed to honor ancestors or combine familial titles. [1, 2, 3]
Name Breakdown
Balaji: This part of his name is a respectful and devotional nod to his paternal grandfather, the first notable Peshwa, Balaji Vishwanath. The name itself originates from a form of the Hindu deity Venkateswara or Vishnu.
Baji Rao: This combines his father's given name, Baji (a short form of Bajirao), with the suffix Rao. "Rao" is an honorific of Sanskrit origin used in the Marathi and Telugu languages to denote a warrior, nobleman, or prince.
Nana Saheb: Balaji Baji Rao's popular nickname. "Nana" is an affectionate Marathi term commonly used for a young male child, a younger uncle, or a revered young leader, while "Saheb" is a respectful term meaning "sir" or "master."
Trimbakeshwar translates to "Lord of the Three Eyes" or "Three Lords". It is derived from the Sanskrit words Tri (meaning "three") and Ambaka (meaning "eye" or "lord"). The name refers to the Hindu Trinity (Trimurti) of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, as well as Lord Shiva's three eyes (representing the sun, moon, and fire).
The Three-Faced Lingam
The name is deeply connected to the unique and sacred nature of the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, located in the town of Trimbak, near Nashik, Maharashtra.
The Trinity: It is one of the only 12 sacred Jyotirlingas in India where the central linga features three distinct faces representing Brahma (the creator), Vishnu (the preserver), and Shiva/Mahesh (the destroyer). [1, 2]
Symbolism: The "Three Eyes" can also symbolize inner awakening and the three pillars of spiritual life: Jnana (knowledge), Karma (action), and Bhakti (devotion).
As a title, Peshwa is a Persian word meaning "foremost" or "Prime Minister." The Peshwa served as the head of state and administration for the Maratha Empire. Balaji Baji Rao was the second Peshwa from the Bhat dynasty, succeeding his legendary father, Peshwa Bajirao I

INDUS SCRIPT BLESSING, HEALTH, AND PROSPERITY SIGN. Tamil Nadu graffiti. Selected interesting sign! Mahadevan (1977) catalog, glyph #206, #208. CCH 2026-7-8: Churning of the Ocean of Milk, Mount Mandara. Mount Meru. Mountain which is a pillar of heaven, holding up sky. Distillation process. Cosmic balance, cosmic axis, hub of the potters wheel of the universe. This sign represents the teamwork and the success of obtaining the ELIXIR OF IMMORTALITY in the Churning of the Ocean of Milk.

INDUS SCRIPT PROTECTION SIGN found in Tamil Nadu. This is Glyph #221 from the Mahadevan (1977) catalog. It represents Shiva swallowing the poison from the Churning of the Ocean of Milk to protect the universe.
Scorpion with stake through it. An attacking claw absolutely stopped, staked, tied, bound. Atropaic sign. Next sign is Amrita #269 (Amrita in conch shell, with immortal walking staff or endless life line). Then Shiva #342.
Glyph #269 is a lotus bud of enlightenment, a gem, heart and soul, a conch shell from which Amrita is drunk from the Ocean of Milk. The Mahadevan corpus has only the variant attached to an incarnation or sage walking stick, but it appears multiply by itself. I introduced 269A or 269.1 as an attested variant CCH.
This is the first time I have worked with #221. It is forceful protection: It shows an attacking claw being stabbed, cut with blade, staked or shackled. Threat neutralized.
If the graffiti bowl shows a diamond, this is ratna, <>, a gem, all the treasures which poured out of the Ocean of Milk such as a wish-fulfilling cow, the Moon, a wish-fulfilling tree, and Lakshmi, goddess of fortune.
From this, I discover glyph #342 not only Shiva the annihilator, but Shiva the defender, claws protect the nest. The vessel of the third eye where enlightenment is cultivated. =U= wings
Claw cut, or maybe divided. Like the spines from a cactus which is edible. Work around the thorns of the beautiful, fragrant rose. It takes art and knowledge to obtain the treasure wrapped in a prickly, toxic challenge.
This seal illustrates the zero-sum balance of the universe. The poison is there, and so is the joy. Shiva symbol shows balance - and origin, two-headed serpent headed both ways. Must fortify and team up to deal with the challenges, so that all may enjoy the Amrita. 2026-7-9

Expedition Unknown, Dwarka
Bet Dwarka (also known as Shankhodhar) is an island off the coast of Gujarat, India, renowned as a major hub for the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. It is most famous for an archaeological discovery: a rare Late Harappan seal carved directly from a sacred conch shell (Turbinella pyrum). [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Key facts about Bet Dwarka and its archaeological significance include:
The Shell Seal: Found during marine explorations, this unique 20 × 18 mm conch-shell seal features engravings of a short-horned bull, a unicorn, and a goat. It shares artistic similarities with seals found at Mohenjo-daro.
Ancient Shell Industry: The island's waters were a primary harvesting ground for chank (conch) shells. Excavations have revealed a massive, ancient shell-working enterprise, unearthing finished and unfinished shell bangles, beads, ladles, and waste pieces.
Historical Significance: Abundant conch shells gave the island its alternate name, "Shankhodhar". It is deeply tied to the maritime history of the subcontinent and is historically recognized as part of the ancient port networks. [1, 2]

The "DN" or "D-N" consonant root found in Eastern European river names is widely believed by linguists to stem from ancient Indo-European and Scythian words like dānu, which simply meant "river" or "water".
A classified list of these rivers, starting with the notable DN root:
Rivers with the exact D-N root
Dnieper (Dnipro): One of Europe's longest rivers (fourth overall), flowing 2,285 km through Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine into the Black Sea.
Dniester: Spans 1,362 km, originating in the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains and flowing into the Black Sea. [1, 2]
Dvina (Northern & Western): Includes the Northern Dvina (flowing through Russia into the White Sea) and the Western Dvina/Daugava (flowing through Russia, Belarus, and Latvia into the Baltic Sea).
Rivers sharing the same etymological roots
Other major European rivers also share these same ancient Indo-European water or river roots:
Don: The fifth-longest river in Europe, flowing entirely through Russia into the Sea of Azov.
Danube: The second-longest river in Europe, flowing 2,850 km from Germany to the Black Sea.
Donets (Siverskyi Donets): A major tributary of the Don River, flowing through Russia and Ukraine.
Desna: The longest tributary of the Dnieper River, located primarily in Russia and Ukraine.
Drina: Located in the Balkans, flowing through Montenegro, Bosnia, and Serbia. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Would you like to know more about the geography, length, or historical significance of any of these specific rivers?
EDEN -- Indus glyph - house with river HE DEN Hidden
What is the origin of the similar D-N river names in Eastern-Europe (DaNube, DNiester, DNieper, DoN, DviNa, DriNa, DuNajec, DoNets, and DriNj?), asked one Quora user.
In Sanskrit, the most common word for "river" is नदी (Nadī). [1, 2]
Other specific terms used in Sanskrit literature include:
सरित् (Sarit): Poetic term for a river or flowing stream.
स्रोतस्विनी (Srotasvinī): A river with a continuous current.
तरङ्गिणी (Taraṅgiṇī): A wavy or rippling river.
वाहिनी (Vāhinī): A river that carries or flows. [1, 2]
